Sleeping Beauty at her BEST!

This past year Reagan has been taking dance lessons. She seemed so small when she started and I couldn't imagine how this poor teacher was going to get 10 little 3 year olds to learn an actual dance and then perform that dance in front of an audience... But they did great! Reagan was great! I was completely impressed.

Last May Reagan had her spring performance with her dance studio. All of the classes around her age group had dances in the princess theme and it made for a fun performance. Reagan's class was Sleeping Beauty and her dress was to die for. So cute!

I was so excited and nervous for her. I woke her up early from her nap (which I never do) so we could do her hair and make up. We took pictures of her before the show and even went an hour early so we could get good seats! Yep, I was the one front and center with my huge camera and flash biting at the bit to watch my daughter's 5 minute dance. And it was awesome!

I'm hooked! I am loving this dance thing! Reagan ate it up! She didn't pause for a minute. The crowd didn't faze her and she put on a show! She knew all of the moves and did them with style. There was one point at the end where she got a little distracted by another girl who wasn't quite doing what she was supposed to be doing. Reagan just stopped and looked at her completely confused, then, all of a sudden she realized where she was and hit her pose for the last note of the song. It was a riot! Totally cute.

My parents, Steve's parents, Steve's Sister and my two nieces all came to support Reagan in her first big show. It was so fun to have them there cheering for her. They were so great to come. At the end of the show all the dancers came out on the stage for a final bow and a parent was supposed to go up and get their daughter. Steve went up to get her and Crew had to go with him. Reagan was so cute... she gave Steve a big hug and then turned to Crew and did the same. She asked him if he had seen her dancing and he said he did and gave her the flowers we had brought for her. She was so excited, she gasped and hugged the flowers and said "Thank you, Crew! They are beautiful!" it was priceless. Crew was beeming. It was like the whole thing was about him and not her. Classic.

Next year Reagan will be going to the same studio but in a more advanced class. I can't wait to see what they will do next year!
