Happy Baby, Josie!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for one of my best friends, Josie. She recently adopted a little boy who is so extremely handsome I just can't stand it!
With the help of our friends, it was a total success! (If I'm allowed to say that about something I was involved in.) Thank you especially to Anya for thinking of EVERYTHING that we needed to do and remember. I'm not so good with the details!
I thought I would share some pictures from our fabulous party...
Lindsay, Taya & Jess. Thanks girls for all your help!

Anya & Jo. Notice Jo's mom in the background... she looks so happy! Thanks, Wendy for joining in the fun! It was so good to have you with us!

We played games.

Don't ask...

Opened gifts. Isn't she beautiful?

And ate yummy treats! You can't tell in the picture, but the cupcakes were huge. Anya and I made the giant cupcakes ourselves and were a little nervous about it. But I must say they turned out pretty good and I think I may just do them again sometime!

Overall it was a great night! I am so excited for you, Jo! I can't wait to watch this little guy grow. He is so lucky to have you and Micah as parents!

Congratulations!

My favorite time of year!!!

This is the best time of year for many reasons. The snow is melting and the life is coming back to the earth around me... it's beautiful. March madness is in full swing and that means a lot of basketball which couldn't make me happier. It's also time for American Idol! Sweet! I have loved watching this show for the last, oh, 6 years or so...
could that be right?
Wow.
Time flies.
Anyway... The year that Carie Underwood took the title was the best year to date. My dad LOVED her, still loves her actually, and called her as the winner when he saw her audition in whatever city it was she auditioned in. He is very proud of this and has tried to call the winner ever since but claims no one will ever match the acclaimed Ms. Underwood.
Well, the next year I decided it would be fun to create a bracket for American Idol so all of us who watch religiously can have a little added fun. This is very similar to the brackets a lot of us fill out for March Madness. (As you can see I really love this time of year!) There is a group of family members who get together on Monday nights at my parents house for FHE and they have been playing along with me since I started this whole thing and I decided it was time to share it with the rest of you!
I have posted the bracket for you to print. Feel free to have your own contests among your friends or family. If you would like to join in with my group just email me your completed bracket Tuesday at Midnight.

Each year we start the guessing game with the top ten. This gives people who don't watch eliminations up to the top 12 one week to see the contestants sing, decide their favorites and cast their votes. Let's have some fun! There are some good prizes in store for the winner!
Oh, ps... a point is alloted to every contestant you get right each week of the compitition! Gotta love this time of year!!!

Dancing Queen

This gal has been neglected in the blogging world lately. With her brother turning one he has gotten all of the attention. So I decided I would share some fun pictures of Reagan at her best... dancing the night away!
