Reasons I love Steve...

I was cleaning out some things this afternoon and came across an old scripture tote I used to use when I was in college. It is pretty worn so I decided it was time to chuck it. No one would want this anymore and I have moved on to other church bags. So before I gave it the big heave-ho I started looking through the different compartments to take out any pens or other things that might be important to me. To my pleasant surprise I found a sheet of paper titled "Reasons I Love Steve"

Years ago, when Steve and I were dating, or were we engaged? I'm not quite sure. Either way, the summer we fell in love I remember sitting in church making a list of things that I loved about Steve. I don't know if it was boredom that brought me to make the list, or simply that I didn't want to forget, maybe I wanted confirm all these flooding emotions that I had and validate all I was feeling. I remember adding to the list each Sunday, I was always finding new things that I loved about him. That still continues today. Wow. How long would the list be now? I should start another one!

I wanted to write down all the reason's I had on this paper so I didn't forget and could refer to it often. So, reasons I love Steve...

His thoughtfulness and consideration
He is a hard worker
His huge heart
He is good with kids
The way he treats other people
He is a fix-it guy
His cute butt!
He is good with computers
His humble attitude
Relationships are important to him
He is always happy
He is so fun
He loves me
He introduced me to Bear Lake
He honors his priesthood
He makes me feel beautiful
He respects me
He eats the food I cook
He always tries to do what is right
He has an amazing quiet dignity
He lets me wear his sweatshirts
His beautiful eyes
He holds me when I am sad
His knowledge of the gospel
He knows my favorite candy bar
His strong testimony
He loves his family
He makes my stomach flip
He can take me to the temple
His patience
He fulfills his calling
He is giving
His priorities are right and good
He opens the door for me
I feel his love for the lord by how he loves others
He is outgoing and upbeat
He wants me to be happy
He calls me Baba
He plays with my hair and tickles my back
He accepts all that I am
He is always doing for others
He is smart
He has everything going for him
And... he loves me! (did I say that already?)

Reading through this list makes me smile. I still love all of these things about Steve and so many more.
LOVE YOU BABA!

aahhh...

Yesterday I finally found a morning to pack the kids up, head to my moms and attempt to take pictures of my cute kids in front of my backdrop. You'd think that since I do this for other people all the time that my own kids would be photographed regularly. But I am ashamed to say it isn't so. This is the first time I have done these kinds of pictures with my kids since Cache was born. That's right, it's been 7 months. I'm so bad.

Then I remembered why it's that way. Not 5 pictures into the shoot and Cache fell off the chair and hit his head, we realized we forgot Crew's shirt and Reagan's bow/hat, and there seemed to be no bribe good enough to coax a smile out of Crew. Seriously, I have never had a session go as badly as they go with my own kids. Why is that? I really don't know.

But we did it. It's over. And through all of the grief I listed above, we got some great shots! Here are just 3 for your enjoyment until I get some time to get more edited. But I have to say, do I have the cutest kids ever? Yeah, I think I do...
