Crew's 5 year old pictures

I can't tell you how much I love this kid. He is a hoot. He generally does what I ask him and is always telling me he told Jesus he is going to be good for me. I'm not sure where he came from but I think I'll keep him! 

Let's Do The Monster Mash!

Today is my favorite 5 year old's birthday! Happy Birthday Crew!

We celebrated this monumental occasion on Saturday with a Monster Bash at our home. This was not the original plan. We were going to take a few friends to Jungle Jim's  but when Crew found out that he could only take a couple of friends that idea went kaput  He insisted that he invited all his little friends from school so a home party it was. It actually turned out really cute and I think all the boys had a great time. 

Crew chose the theme and I found some fun ideas online and we went all out. We had the yummiest monster food, One-Eyed Cupcakes that the boys decorated with eyes and teeth or smiles, Slime Juice Boxes, Monster Pops, Mini Bites, Monster Horns, Monster Fingers and Monster Munch. Delish! it turned out really cute and pretty yummy too.

We turned the living room into the Monster Zone where all the games took place. We played Monster Mash, Pin the Eye on the Monster, Monster Stomp, Build a Monster and of course had the Monster Pinata. 

Crew loved his cake and loved that everyone was singing for him. He couldn't have been more happy that all his friends would come to his party. I think that was the best present of all. Sweet boy! Seriously love how loving he is.

And of course, what party is complete without the classic photo booth? At least these days, right? So we all had a good time giggling with our monster grins. Such cute boys. Crew is so lucky to have such good friends!

Crew's First Day of School 2012

This is the Crew-man. Love this kid. He is so happy. So lovey. So cuddly. Always gives me hugs and says I look pretty. He was very excited to start school. He is going to the Twin Peaks Preschool program and has Mrs. Fidge as his teacher. He loves her! I love her! She is a dream teacher and hope she is will be around to teach all of my children.

This kid is a goof ball and it shows. But, not many boys would stand there and let their mother take their picture. He would, as long as he could be silly. I like silly, so that was fine with me! Love you kid!

2012 Family Pictures

My good friend Emily is a photographer and like me we both drag our feet when it comes to getting our own families pictures taken. I can only speak for myself here, but there is a reason I am behind the camera. I have no idea why Em doesn't jump at the chance. She is beautiful! Anyway, we got to talking and she had the brilliant idea of going away for a weekend and swapping picture taking.

I think the weekend part was what convinced me. I mean, hello? I just had a baby 3 months ago. In what world would I want to take a picture of myself in that state? Well, I caved and decided it was more important to have pictures of my family no matter what I looked like.

When all is said and done I am so glad we did it. The weekend was a hit, I love spending time with Emily's sweet family, and now I have pictures of my cute family at this crazy stage in our lives. Somehow Emily got everyone smiling and looking good. Thank you Em! You're the best!
