When I got married, years ago, one of my best friends in the whole world made me a "wedding scrapbook". What is a wedding scrapbook, you ask? Well, it is a scrapbook that documents your love story with the love of your life! Isn't that fantastic? It has pages with you falling in love, getting engaged, reasons you love each other, what you are looking forward to most being married, then your bridal pictures, and finally the wedding itself. She also created signing pages for my wedding that still lie in the scrapbook. I LOVE my scrapbook. I had no idea that I would actually look at it as often as I do. We ordered this gigantic book with pictures from my photographer and that sits under this scrapbook collecting dust. I rarely look at that one. But my wedding scrapbook, quite often.
Now, I have a point... my mom's neighbor has a daughter who is getting married and they were trying to figure out what they wanted to do for the signing pages. She called my mom for help and any inspiration. My mom proceded to tell her neighbor about what I did at my wedding with the scrapbook/signing pages. The neighbor asked if she could see it because her daughter hadn't found anything else she liked. The next thing I know I had been hired to create a wedding book just like the one I owned for this couple! Isn't that great!
At first I thought... no problem! I love mine and everyone should have one, nor should they have to pay an arm and a leg for one. I jumped right in and got started and realized this may be a bit harder than I thought. This is a pretty big book! And that takes a lot of paper and cute little do-dads. As this project began to come together I realized it was taking me at least an hour a page and I was spending a considerable amount on supplies. What had I gotten myself into?
Well... over 35 hours and 20 pages later I am done, and I LOVE it! I fear I am going to be grossly under paid, but what do you do? At least this girl has her love story in a book! A cute book, if I do say so myself! I had some friends who wanted to see the outcome of this book, and since I am giving it to the cute couple tomorrow this is where they will get to see it! Here is the infamous book...
So the theme of the scrapbook, if you can't tell, is red, cream and green. These are the colors of her wedding so we stuck with that, and I actually love that it all flows together with those colors.
Below is their first date story and they tell when they new they were in love...
This next page is fun. On the left they each give reasons why they love the other. On the right they each gave things they were looking forward to most when they are married.
This is their wedding announcement spread.
These are some pages with things they have done together as they have been engaged.
This page is for her bridals, she will insert the pictures when she gets them.
These pages are for the wedding day.
Here are a couple of her signing pages.
I thought it turned out pretty good. Thank you, again, Josie for making me my love story book. I do love it and am so grateful for all the time and money you put into making this treasure for me! You are the best!
