Singin' in the rain...

So last Saturday it rained at our house. And when I say rained, I mean POURED! It was really coming down! Our poor flowers really felt the power of this down pour. (They are kind of sad looking). If there is one thing you may not know about me and should it is that I LOVE the rain! I don't know why, but I just feel refreshed and relaxed when it is raining outside. Everything looks and smells clean and beautiful. I just love it.

So when it really started coming down I said to Steve "I wish I could go outside and just stand in it." He said "Well, why don't you?"

I didn't really have a good reason, other than I didn't want to be all wet for the rest of the day and wasn't quite ready to take a shower since we were doing some work on the house. So he grabbed the kids and their umbrella, I grabbed my camera, and we headed for the door.

It was so much fun! I think the kids love the rain as much as I do because it was quite a hassle trying to drag them in. But boy was it worth it! We had a blast playing out there!

Please don't report me to the authorities for letting my kids run around without any socks or shoes in the pouring rain. I promise to keep these outings down to a minimum!

I am happy to report we are all healthy today and there were no bad side effects to our lapse in judgement!
