This week, in honor of Valentines Day, I decided to take pictures of the ones that I love. We spent the weekend in Bear Lake and had an oh, so wonderful time. It snowed like crazy outside so after the fun out on the sleds and machines, we bundled up to our favorite Disney sing-a-long movie and watched the snow fall out the window. It couldn't have been more fantastic.
My Sweetheart.

My Bud.
(is it any surprise that I could only get a picture of the back of him?)

My Lovies.

Presidents Day 2011
We spent the Presidents Day Weekend in Bear Lake staying in our pajamas, snuggling up, watching movies and doing a little bit of dancing. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
We got home to a huge snow storm. Thought you might enjoy seeing our Bazer out and about.

Cache's 1st Birthday Celebration
I feel like such a slacker. I was going through pictures and realized I never posted pictures from Cache's 1 year old birthday celebration. I figure, better late than never so here you go.
I know the cake is lacking! I really need to take a class or something to improve my decorating skills! Especially with how many potential cakes are in my future!
I know I told you a lot about Cache on the post I wrote wishing him a happy birthday so instead of talking about what this sweet little guy is up to I will tell you about his day. On his actual birthday we sang him happy birthday and blew out the candle on his birthday cake together as a family. It was fun and he loved his cake.

I wasn't planning on doing a big ta-da for his birthday with both of our extended families. I'm not sure exactly why... maybe it was because I was throwing a big friend party for Crew that was so close to his birthday... or maybe I was just too overwhelmed to pull something together in general... or maybe I finally realized that 1 year old's don't remember or appreciate all the work you go to when celebrating a first birthday. I thought we had it covered when we ate cake as a little family of five.
But Steve assured me that it wasn't. He felt that Cachie deserved a big thing just like the other two and made sure that I went out and got started on my planning. I was kind of out of ideas for a theme for the party and then decided on a farm theme. I found the cutest stuff at Zurchers and went a little crazy! I loved how the house looked! Everything turned out great!
I think at first I was not excited to through a big gathering for Cache's birthday, but when everyone was there and he was so happy I was so glad that we did it. I always love having our families together and I am always so happy when I can do something for them because they are always doing so much for us. Even if it wasn't a whole lot I was doing for them.
I love you Cachie! And even if you don't have any memories of this party, I hope you look back on these pictures and remember how much we love you and are so happy to have you in our family! Happy First Birthday!

We hosted Steve's whole family (which is quite large these days) and mine, although I think my mom was the only one who could come. We served Cafe Rio chicken burritos with rice and salad. Of course we had cake for dessert. It was a lot of fun and I am so grateful to our families for their endless support.

This week I chose two pictures. I'm not exactly sure why. There really isn't any rhyme or reason to my weekly photo's, just as long as I continue to take them, for me, without any other alternative motive.
This week we celebrated Crew's birthday and I saw this lone balloon and I kinda felt like that balloon when it was all over. Just let me lay there on the floor with nothing to bother me, push, pull or kick me around! Ha, ha!
This other one I took while I was waiting for a client to show up. I am on this baby a lot. No exaggeration. It is kinda my connection to everything outside of my family. Sad, but true. I remember when Steve gave it to me for my birthday and I didn't know how to use it and thought I never would. Way over my head. Now I don't know what I'd do without it. So what is going to take over my life next? I think I'll wait for a while to figure that one out.

Happy Birthday CREW!
Happy Birthday Kid!
I can't tell you how much I love you and am so grateful to have you as my little boy. I've been thinking a lot about the day you were born. About being in the hospital and being ever so anxious for your arrival. I remember begging for an epidural and then not getting it in time so I was able to feel you being born but without the pain. It was amazing. I remember looking at the clock - 3:27 pm - and knowing this time would be with me forever. And it is. I tried telling that to you today but you were too busy to listen, or maybe you didn't quite understand what I was talking about. I'm not sure. But remembering it made me feel full, happy, excited and sad all at the same time. So full because I feel like I have so much and I am so lucky, happy because I got just what I wanted, excited for all that you have become and all you are going to be, and sad because you aren't my little baby anymore. You are so big. You are still my lovie. My boy who tells me my hair is pretty as he combs his fingers through it. Who hugs me over and over if I ask him to because he likes to make me happy. My boy who is stronger and braver than any other 3 year old I know. Who makes me wish I were as brave as him. As brave as you. You are my sweetheart, my sensitive soul.
3 years ago at this very moment I was in my hospital room with your dad and we were holding you and loving you. Amazed at the journey that had brought us there. Loving the result we had been given. So tired but so ready to do it all again at the drop of a hat. Anything for you. I love you kid. I hope I can be all that you need and want in a mom. I hope you know that I would do anything for you to make you happy and smile. You are wonderful and special, and mine... all mine.
Happy 3rd!

I am grateful...
I just wanted to take a minute and write down a few things that I am grateful for today...
~ My husband. For always trying to make our marriage better. For never pointing fingers and making me feel special and beautiful and totally worthwhile. For supporting me in the millions of things that I aspire to do and create. For all that he does around the house and with our family to help and aid in my many ambitions. For seeing all of my faults, flaws and weaknesses and loving me anyway.
~ My mom. For always being willing to help me out with my kids when I need to get something done. For taking the time to walk with me almost everyday so I that I can actually get some exercise (I really couldn't do it without her). For listening to me talk and ramble. It's nice to have an adult hear what I am thinking and not just children under the age of 4.
~ Chips and Salsa. Silly you say? I think not! So many diverse choices an endless pursuit to find the perfect mix! They make my mouth happy.
~ My photography. For having an outlet for my creativity. For having a way to create a small supplement to our household income. For finding something that I truly love and finding that I'm not too bad at it. For feeling that yearning to learn and grow and become better. For getting the opportunity to meet so many new people and make them smile for a little while.
~ For my Heavenly Father. For knowing that he is watching and understanding all that I am going through. For being able to pray to him and feel his comfort all around me. For the encouragement and hope that his teachings bring. For not expecting me to be perfect but hoping that I will try to be and do my best.
I am truly a lucky girl and I hope I always remember that.

Cache's 1st Birthday
This little dude had the most fun first birthday. He had no problem digging right into his cake with one hand while holding his milk in the other.
Love. His. Face.

Happy Birthday Cache!!!
One year ago right this very minute I was sitting in my new hospital room snuggling my few hour old baby. It was wonderful! He didn't yet have a name, my body was in disarray, but it didn't matter. He was perfect. Little toes and fingers. A great big yawn. Oh the sleepy days of a newborn. They left us long ago!
Now I have this...
(9 months)
I really need to get his 1 year old pictures done! One of these days I will. Let me tell you a little bit about our sweet Cache...
Cache is so very, very happy. He loves to smile and laugh! Even when his big brother is trying to wrestle with him and he is getting smashed.
Cache is very easy going but will let you know when he is tired of sitting in the background and needs some loves and kisses.
Cache makes all kinds of sounds... he clicks his tongue, smacks his lips, jabbers, and sings, sings, sings.
Cache is a mover and a groover. He loves to dance. If Reagan is singing a tune, Cache is wiggling to it.
Cache is a mover and a groover. He loves to dance. If Reagan is singing a tune, Cache is wiggling to it.
Speaking of moving, Cache is everywhere! He crawls, climbs, and scurries. This allows him to get into everything before his momma can catch up with him.
Cache has received more bumps and bruises than either his sister or brother. He currently carries that record in our house. His poor face has looked like it's been through the ringer for awhile now. Poor kid.
Cache is my little love bug. He loves to cuddle up. He will hug you and suck his thumb. Perfectly content as long as he has you. He will sit on your lap and watch tv. He loves to be held. Loves to be loved. I love to be loved by him.
And now this little sweetheart is 1! I really can't believe how fast this year has gone by! I have a feeling that things are only going to get faster. I hope I can hold on to these memories while they are fresh in my mind.
Happy Birthday to my sweet little baby. I love you and feel so completely lucky to be able to call you mine!
