About 2 months ago... I know I am that slow getting this posted... my mom and I loaded up my 3 kids and braved the drive to St. George. My grandma has a place down there and we decided we should go and visit. Although grandma was extremely nice and invited us to stay with her and Gerald, we knew it would be a better idea to get a room at a nearby hotel so they would continue to love us after we were gone.
I was having major winter blues and needed to get out of my house and somewhere new... if only for a short while... and preferably somewhere warm. It was just what I needed. We had a great time just relaxing, playing and visiting. So glad we went!
My grandma's place is right across the street from the St. George Temple. We visited the Temple grounds every day we were there. The kids LOVED it! I still can't get over gram's prime location!

I even got my kids to pose for a few SECONDS to take some pics...

Ahhhh... we got one!

I love all of the different landscapes at this temple. So beautiful, so perfect for the climate.

I couldn't get over how WHITE this temple is. So clean and fresh! So beautiful! It was an overcast day and it seemed like the temple would blend in with the white clouds. So pretty.

We took some pictures on the big staircase. My kids are each a goose. A silly goose.

"I love to see the Temple, I'll go inside someday..."

Watch out world, here she comes

They seemed so small standing in front of and on this grand staircase in front of this grand building. It's a time I would love to freeze forever. A truly special moment.

Goose, I tell ya

This is my sweet grandma. She watched Cache while we ventured over to the temple. Isn't she wonderful? I couldn't ask for a better and more loving grandma.

One of the mornings we went for a walk on a pathway in St. George. It was so beautiful and so fun. The kids had a blast!

Reagan didn't want to ride in the stroller. She insisted on walking with grandma and Gerald.

My mom and aunt Trish are very fast and left us in the dust...

One of the days we went to the coolest water park in town. My kids had the best time and so did I! I wish we had something like this down the street! We could pack a lunch and our swimsuits and spend the afternoon. I didn't have to worry about it being too deep, as it was only a few inches deep, and the kids could do their own thing while I watched. It was VERY hard to leave!

My bathing beauty

It was hard to get them to slow down for the pictures. Mostly this is what I got...

We had the best time in St. George. Although we never did meet him. Reagan was convinced that we were going to go and see St. George, the person. I kept trying to explain that it was a place and not a person, but she couldn't quite grasp that. So every time we left the hotel she would ask if we were going to see St. George. Unfortunately we never did. Or did we every day? I'm not sure.
It was a great trip and I would love to do it again! Thanks mom for helping me and braving the craziness of our family! We all had a great time and were so happy to do it with you! And thanks grandma and Gerald for letting us come and visit you! I can see why you love it so much!

So fun, I am jealous! I also LOVE that little park. Its the best. Anya said Liberty Park has one like it, so I put it on our play group activities.
Fun trip!! My grandparents served a mission there and their apartment was right across the street. It was fun to visit them and walk to the Temple grounds. Wasn't St. George named after someone? There is a house that you can go through in St. George that tells you about it. It isn't the same as meeting a man, but then maybe Reagan would understand a little better. It is a fun little tour. It has been a while since I have been to it though.
Love the pictures on the temple grounds! So glad you found the water park for the kids. So much fun!
What a fun time. I'm glad you got to go. How nice for your Grandma that she lives in such a fun place. Your pictures were awesome as usual. Thanks for sharing!
