Needless to say we all jumped in the car and headed to Primary Children's Hospital to get Crew his factor (shot). Steve met us there and we had a great experience considering it all. Steve even gave Crew his shot after they had the IV in his arm! Steve has become a real champ with all of this. I truly don't know how he does it. They left the IV in his hand in case he needed more factor today, luckily he didn't so my mom came over to help me take out the IV this morning. But that wasn't before Steve had to flush it one more time last night. I am telling you, the man is amazing! Crew must take after him because the only time he cried was when they put the IV in, he was a total trooper for everything else. Her are some pics of the club Crew had all day and last night...

Crew's First Bleed
It happened. Crew officially had his first bleed (that is what we call his bruises that require a shot). On Tuesday Crew had his 6 month doctors appointment and along with that came his vaccinations. This is normal stuff, it is the third time he has had vaccinations so no big deal, right? Nope. That night was a tough one. I thought he just wasn't feeling good from the shots. Reagan is always a little down after her shots, but this was worse. He would scream out in the night without ever opening his eyes, it was heartbreaking. The next day was more of the same. He woke up screaming and when I picked him up it got even worse. I could not console him. The only time he would settle down was if I layed him on the couch and let him be but that only lasted so long. We went to my mom's house to help her with some things and my mom was trying to help him and noticed that he was getting a large bump on his left thigh and his leg was really hot. Not that he would let us touch it for very long without losing it, but you could see that there was a problem. My mom is the one who really discovered the bleed. I don't know how long it would have taken me to realize it was a bleed because it was not black and blue like I expected. This was a deep muscle bleed.

that is so scary! I guess now you know what it will be like when this happens, and you know you guys can do it. It is so hard when your kids are hurting!! Good luck!
I still can't get over how great your attitudes have been about this from day one! You guys are amazing--what a lucky little guy Crew is to have you as parents! :)
My offer still stands for the "on call" nurse to help with flushes and IV removals! I am not kidding... call me anytime if Steve isn't around to help you out! :)
What a trooper... Crew is a special boy, you can already see that. Love you guys...
Bless all of your hearts! What a day. Crew is a sweetheart and you and Steve get stronger every minute. Glad it's over and you are off for a relaxed weekend!
Glad everything turned out to be ok. Crew is so cute and you guys are great parents, he is lucky to have you.

OH MY GOSH. I am so sorry! That is horrible news.. I am glad that he is doing better, and that your mom found the bleed somewhat quick!! Hopefully his won't have problems like this TOO often!
HEY- I was also going to tell you that I told my sister in law about setting her up with your brother and she was up for it! If your brother wants to go on a date let me know and we'll get them set up :)
Wait a minute...I don't know anything about this! E-mail me duh!
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the note - it was really good to hear from you. Looks like you have quite a house full. Hard to believe that it was over 5 years ago that we used to suffer through Mass Comm together. Things here in Bangkok are great. I love it of course and we're seriously considering staying here....forever. Hope all continues to be well with you and your family. Tell your parents I said hello and stay in touch. Take care.

Poor little guy- he sure is a cut one! i hope everything goes well- let us know if we can help with anything!
Holy crap... You handled that so well! I'm glad everything is good now, and you got through the first one! Go Steve!
Poor little guy! Sounds like he is a champ. I agree I would not do good with things like this. Steve said that if I deal with all the throw up he will deal with the blood...which is worse!
