Last Friday my cousins, Rachel & Sheridan, and I met at my moms house to begin what we thought was going to be an impossible feat... baking 1200 homemade Oreo cookies. No, I didn't put an extra zero on there, we needed to make TWELVE HUNDRED cookies. And just to clarify, that isn't 1200 individual cookies, that is 1200 full Oreo cookies with icing in the middle. If you do the math that is 2400, yes, TWENTY FOUR HUNDRED individual cookies! A LOT of cookies! We were sure we would be there far into the night.
It started with the picture above. that was the first set to go into the oven and from there it was a mad house. As soon as one set got out of the oven we hurried to empty the pans so they could be filled again. We didn't have any counter space for the cookies as they were coming out of the oven so they began to pile up, as you can see to the right. This is only a glimpse of what the pile became. We tried as fast as we could to get cookies frosted and put away in Tupperware but we just weren't fast enough. The pile was huge! When we got all of the cookies baked everyone turned to frosting and things started to move a little faster. We shockingly finished around 3:30 and after clean up I was home at 5:00. Steve didn't even miss me!I must say I am very glad to have that over with, but I had a great time with the gals in the mean time! Happy Wedding Day Bree!
